Aye Brad you got 23rd and MLK as the original place of HTC but bacc in 1990 niccahs tolds me they original hood was 23rd and K street. They even put 23rd and K in all of their hit ups. I'm suprised that one of the Og's hadn't branched out and started another set. Like you have cliccs but in L.A they'd have been A few different sets to let foes know. Like east coast crips or hoovers. I'm suprised they don't have like 23rd 32nd 43rd shit like that you know.

HTC was started on 23rd and K. the only thing you neglected to find out, is that the city changed the name to M.L.K. And for all you fake ass muthafucks talking shit, I am a 33 year white boy that grew up on the Hill. Never had beef with nobody. Ran around in red all the time. I'm wondering if there is anyone who can help me find some OGs from the hill who can give me the history. I would either like to make a documentary or write a book. I don't think hill top gets enough recognition, and they should. With the history it seems like it's all about LA gangs and southern gangs and east gangs. I want to get the really history out there.

uhhh!!! thanks but I still don't really think that answers my origional question  btw u down with H.T.C? To answer your question homie... yes the HILL is hella active still even though hella homies is incarcerated, snitchin, dead, moved, etc... it still goes down in the hood... who knows how many members there are??? lol just like Central District and South End, its hella different sets on the Hill .... but i would guess around 200-300 members... remember it started in the 80's so its OGs in their 40's and 50's all the way down to youngin ass 12 year olds puttin in work... but yes the hill is active, stays in beef with other hoods in the tac.... if you really wanna know go to McCarver Park on 23rd & J ... the Hill is the closest Tacoma neighborhood you would find compared to maybe an LA neighborhood... it just has that feel.... its where MLK Street is... a lot of smokers, you see OG's in wheel chairs, scrapers on dubs wit hella beats.... other hoods just seem fake. The hill used to always beef with ESP 44 Block but recently they really been goin at it with 96th (a newer hood in Parkland) ever since one of the dudes from 96th got smoked by the Hill... also Knoccouts which hood is 47th by the Tacoma Mall (the dudes off of oakes who be posted at the Circle K gas station) ... so I hope that helps you out a lil... and i hope no feds are reading... haha even tho they probably already know. hope that helped you out, and by the way im not from the hood just afilliated.. |

To know the History of the gangs you should talk to people like Dewayne Parker AKA OG FREEZE, AKA: BISHOP FREEZE on Facebook; he started the HTBs. To learn more about the HTCs you should look up people like Jerry Jackson who is currently on Facbook or even listen to Mr. D.O.G.- The real "Hilltop" Video on youtube which gives you a lot of the history. And one of my good friends OG LA-STONE AKA: LAWRENCE STONE founded the first EAST BLOODS SET, he still lives in TACOMA and is on FACEBOOK. The bottom-line here was the around 1985 the crack game took the Tacoma by storm, it was already violent on the HillTop but this was the beginning of the gang ERA. At that time there were primarily what you call Crews. So crews encourage others to come together, and some crews but not all the crews evolved into small gang sets on the Hill and eastside, but for the most part they lite the fuse and crack open the door to the LA gangs,Jamaican Posses and Cubans to come in and run big drugs in Tacoma. Eventually the Hilltop gangs ran these folks away and took control of the drug market. Of course with it came lots of violence and murder, I even lost my mother during an attempted robbery during this period. So Homie HillTop ain't no joke back then and now. At the end of the day, most of the OGs will tell you it's OK to look out for your hood, but nothing is worth losing your life. Gangs form out of a need to belong to something, a need to say hey notice me my life counts, a need to protect what you believe is yours and young over aggressive pride, but that path leads only to death and destruction for most. Its cool to remember the past, but to all the Homies out there if you don't let it go and accept Jesus you will never realize your full potential and you will never know what living is truly about.
