YAKIMA, Wash. -- Police this morning arrested a man they believed responsible for the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man hours earlier.
Responding to a 2:30 a.m. call about an injured man near Pleasant Avenue and West Pierce Street, police said they found Ali Lemus Vargas in the street with multiple stab wounds to his head, chest and hands.
He was taken to a local hospital, but died a short time later, police said.
While at the scene, officers for several hours followed a trail of blood that led to a residence in the 1500 block of Seventh Avenue, where they found a 42-year-old man with injuries believed caused by a knife to his hands and a stab wound to his abdomen, police said.
Police said an interview with the man revealed that an argument between the two led to the stabbing.
Police said they plan to book the man into the Yakima County jail today on charges of second-degree murder.

I had to delete my last message, turns out Mr. Trippy, is still alive, but on life support in a local hospital (Wapato victim). He got shot in the head.
My girlfriends mom and her brother heard the Yakima shooting, because they live on 2nd & Nob Hill so they went over to the parking lot and watched the scene afterwards, I guess it was pretty wild around there last night..

According to the Yakima Herald, the murder suspects in the Yakima killing are some thugs from Seattle.. It was all over a stupid battle over who was a better rapper.. They got arrested yesterday.

YAKIMA--A 40-year-old Yakima man is dead, and police believe he is the victim of more gang-related violence.
Yakima police say David Duarte was riding passenger in a car with his nephew shortly before midnight Saturday, when a large white vehicle pulled up next to the car.
An occupant of the white vehicle fired several shots at Duarte and his nephew. Duarte was hit in the head and chest.
Police believe this incident happened near the intersection of 16th Avenue and Spokane Street. After the shooting, Duarte's nephew drove the car to the 1500 block of West Mead Avenue. That's where police found the car and Duarte. He was dead by the time officers arrived.
This is the sixth homicide of 2010, the fourth in the city of Yakima and the second in eight days.
