The 74 Hoovers started in the early 1970's around W. 74th Street & S. Hoover Street in Los Angeles, California. They moved into the Seattle area in the late 1980's, when some Hoovers cames here to sell drugs like many other Los Angeles gang members. Since the 1980's when they first came to Seattle they have spread to many cities in Snohomish, King, Peirce and Thurston counties. There are three main areas where they are most active. Those areas are along Rainier Avenue South in South Seattle, parts of West Seattle and along Pacific Highway South between the cities of Sea-Tac and Federal Way. The 74 Hoovers in Seattle are one of the largest gangs in the area with an estimated 100-200 members. They wear the colors blue or orange. They used to claim "Crip" but because of their deep rooted rivalries with many other Crip gangs, they decided to not claim Crip anymore. They kept their initials, HCG, but the "C" now stands for "Criminal". In Seattle some of their main rivals are Rollin 60's & 90's, all Blood gangs and various Gangster Disciple sets. There are many cliques of the 74 Hoovers in Seattle. Below is a listing of several cliques I've been told about. Ratt Pacc Cizzelo Locs Train Gang Spoonz Nutts Bones Othello & Rainier Dale Blocc (Hoovers & DWTC members) 17th Murder Blocc (West Seattle) Highway Hoovers (Sea-Tac to Fed Way) Holly-Hoovers I heard Og Daniel started Hoover in 2008 at Franklin hs?

We used to bang in front of Peter’s Market on MLK and Renton Ave S. If you grew up in the south side you know where I’m talking about. James Earl used to serve $25 bags of bud from the upstairs apartment across the street. What y’all know about Wolf Loc, L Loc, Ratt Loc, Chris and Dennis, Baby Tank, Vendell Henderson, H Loc, E Dub, Josh everybody talks about, Leonard Statton, Horse knees, Skanzie, Nikeal. We used to serve the workers from the boeing plant in Renton. Real recognized real, I was there in ‘94. Shout out to K Ratt, P Money, Booby, Dre, E Sang, Big Insane, Lil Insane, Touche, S Loc, Country Boy, Delmar, and Sammie the weed man from Holly Park. Remember Donell Duncan at Rainer Beach High/ Robert Sidwell? Google it..... the real Pretty Cuzz, Hoova Duece

You should write a book or a documentary of your life and educate people like me on what you think attracted friends, family, peeps to the gang life style. I would buy it and read it. -Marie
