Lol you think this is good?you think it stops gangs or crime?it doesn't it's just another racist law/excuse for white people to lock up/play with the live's of young minorities. you ever notice how white criminals in this state never get this many years even if they are involved in gang activity?fuck their racist laws.

I never said this was good, I'm just stating a fact that the system is really cracking down with these new gang enhanced laws they have passed recently.
I don't have the stats on prison sentences for Whites, compared to Blacks/Hispanics for gang crimes, so I can't comment on that one... I'll take your word for it though.

Two "La Raza's" shot on Saturday
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Two Yakima teenagers shot in a gang-related incident Saturday night are expected to recover, police said Sunday.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the A & A Mini Mart and Smoke Shop at 708 N. Fifth Ave. shortly after 9 p.m., according to a news release issued by Yakima Police on Sunday morning.
Police were called to the Western Motel at 1202 Fruitvale Blvd., where they found an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male shot in the chest, but conscious and alert. Their names and conditions have not been released.
Police say the pair was involved in an altercation at the store with people they didn't know, including one who shot them. The teenagers drove to the motel, where aid was summoned, according to police.

Never a quiet night in Yakima, the most gang infested city in the Northwest
Feb. 17th, 2011
YAKIMA, Wash. — A 19-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the upper leg during a Thursday evening encounter with apparent gang rivals at Kiwanis Park, city police said.
The wound was not expected to be life-threatening, police said.
The shooting happened about 5:40 p.m. as officers were already contacting several members of a large group that had been reported to be fighting at the park, which sits east of Fair Avenue and Maple Street.
Two vehicles fled after the shooting — a green Honda in which the gunshot victim arrived at a Yakima hospital and a gray or silver Lincoln Navigator, Sgt. Tim Bardwell said. Officers were still trying to find the Navigator’s occupants for questioning.
Bardwell said it was unclear whether the fight and shooting were connected.
Children continued to play at the skate park next to the shooting scene as officers investigated.

TRIPLE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATED WEST OF YAKIMA CITY
YAKIMA, Wash. — Sheriff’s deputies found three apparent homicide victims at a remote West Valley home this morning when they arrived to check on a report that one of the residents had not come to work on Thursday, detectives say.
Investigators are keeping details of the deaths under wraps as they continue to work at the scene this evening.
All three victims were adults; their names and genders have not been released pending notification of relatives.
In a media briefing at the gated Falcon Ridge community, Chief of Detectives Stew Graham said the sheriff’s office was called to the home for a welfare check.
Deputies found a door to the home open, then discovered the bodies, Graham said.
A co-worker of one of the residents was concerned that the person had not come to work on Thursday, Graham said. One of the residents was last seen alive at 5 p.m. Wednesday, he said.
Crime scene technicians from the Washington State Patrol have been called to the scene. The bodies have been left in place until that work begins.
Graham did not release any information about possible suspects.
The development is on Pheasant Crest Drive, an area about 10 miles west of Yakima off Cottonwood Canyon Road.
Homes in the development are far enough part that some residents said they didn’t even realize a homicide investigation was ongoing late this afternoon.
"This was a total shock to us all," said one woman at the entrance gate who declined to provide her name but said that she knew one of the residents at the house where the deaths were reported.
The deaths appear to be the first criminal homicides in Yakima County this year.
County Coroner Jack Hawkins says he has scheduled three autopsies for Monday.
