Isn't CPV mostly in Wapato? I see a lot of their taggings in Union Gap and South Yakima also. I'll dig up a old news article and post it on here. Its about a Crip gang and XIV shooting it out in Yakima. I will try and post it tonight.

Here ya go. This is the one of the oldest articles I've found on Yakima gang activity. I got some others I might post soon. It's from NOVEMBER 1990.

It's funny to read that, because at the time the police seem like they didn't even know who the Nortenos were, they were calling them the 14th Street and 21st Street gangs... Not knowing the number 14 and 21 have nothing to do with street numbers. LOL.

"There were other odd gangs as well. Two such gangs consisted almost exclusively of middle class, rural (cowboy) white kids. They referred to themselves as “Crews” and feuded with each other over the right to use a specific C.B. radio channel and the right to use certain parking lots from which to hang out and broadcast over their CBs. Threats and intimidation over the airwaves soon led to assaults and damage to each other’s vehicles."
Your source is as clueless as Yakima Police Department. There was only one "crew". They weren't kids either. A large majority of them were in their mid-20s to mid-30s. The instigators were a bunch of yuppie brats who lived well within the city limits, went to Eisenhower High School and decided to start shit with people who were just hanging out, not bothering anyone. YPD got involved when the brats started assaulting members of The Crew who only reacted in self-defense and didn't go looking for the brats. Since the instigators had parents with money, YPD only hounded The Crew about the whole situation; Typical Yakima bullshit.

If gang members all knew their basic civil rights and common police procedure then police could not and would not harass them as much. The more you and your homboys(girls) know the less police fuck with ya. Bacon boys expect and rely on your ignorance of the law. More often than not it works out for them. If they as *can I* or *would or do you mind* and things like that they do it to circumvent YOUR rights. I always say NO. No matter what it is.
